SKC is an associate college of the University of Kent and works in partnership with Canterbury Christ Church University College.This means you can study a variety of Higher National Certificates/Diplomas and degree programmes at one of our SKC campuses and still be awarded with a University of Kent or Christ Church University College qualification.

You will not have to travel to Canterbury for classes but you can benefit from having access to all the facilities at Christ Church or the University of Kent as and when you require.

University of Kent (UKC)

The University of Kent is built on 300 acres of parkland overlooking Canterbury. There are over 10,000 full-time and parttime students with many nationalities represented, which gives the campus a very cosmopolitan feel.

The campus is self-contained and includes a cinema, theatre, sports centre and nightclub. Catering facilities on campus vary from traditional dining halls to bistros, a café/bar, shops and food and drinks machines. The campus also hosts banks, cashpoints, the campus shop and a bookshop. Canterbury city centre is only 20 minutes walk away, and is on a direct bus route.The University provides a wide range of resources to support your studies, which are open to all our students. The library contains over a million books, leaflets and pamphlets, 1300 study places and 200 computer terminals - there are over 600 public access PC’s altogether on campus.

Canterbury Christ Church

University College (CCCUC) Canterbury Christ Church University College is a modern, friendly College in the heart of Canterbury. The College is large, with over 10,000 full and part-time students, but has successfully maintained the friendliness and commitment to its students, characteristic of a much smaller institution.

The Student Union works enthusiastically to provide social and sporting events as well as personal support and advice. Up-to-date computing, library and other facilities help make your studies easier, with staff always on hand to help. Whilst the University College encourages independence it also recognises that you may sometimes need
assistance, and is happy to offer support should you need it. The compact campus means that all facilities are within easy reach. Many students progress on to Canterbury Christ Church University College after completing their studies at South Kent College, to pursue a variety of programmes including Teacher Education, Health related courses and Arts and Sciences.
