At South Kent College's Open Days in May, at all 3 campuses in Folkestone, Dover and Ashford, visitors were given the chance to win £50 of High Street vouchers if they filled in a survey.
The winner, Emily Hinton, who is 19, followed up her success in the competition with an interview for the Ashford School for Art and Design. After a successful interview, she was offered a place on the course she wanted.
Emily studied at Folkestone Grammar School for Girls until her GCSEs and then A Levels in History, Sociology and English Literature at Canterbury College before a gap year.
When she returned, she said: 'I had heard good things about the Ashford School of Art and Design and the BTEC National Diploma in 3-D Design will help me progress onto university to study architecture. I am definitely looking forward to starting in September.'
