Travel and Tourism Students Impress British Airways Crew

Travel and Tourism students heard first hand of life in First Class from British Airways air cabin crew on a visit to the Jemmett Road campus.

Vicky Gibbs, who is in her first year of the Level 3 BTec Award in Travel and Tourism, said; 'She was so positive about her job - even after 20 years. She told us all about how much she has travelled all over the world and it really made me think about having a career with an airline.'

Claudine Seymour, course leader in Travel and Tourism, has invited a charter air crew and a budget airline air crew to speak to students later in the year. 'When our students go for interviews with the airlines, they are always asked "Where did you do your course?" because at South Kent College we cover every aspect of cabin crew work. The BA crew were very impressed.'
