Social Care Expo 2010

Welcome to Training 4 Care

Training 4 Care is a dedicated Social Care Training Service appointed by Kent County Council for Care employers and employees across the private, independent and voluntary sectors in Kent, including individuals employed by service users under the Direct Payment arrangements.

Training 4 Care can be reached within the Health & Social Care Department at South Kent College. This department is dedicated to the delivery of high quality courses to meet the needs of all employers and employees at a time and venue suitable to their requirements.

Your Invitation to Get Involved

Throughout 2010 your feedback and contributions will continue to be invaluable and have direct influence on the range and type of courses we offer.

To influence the quality and range of courses and services delivered by Training 4 Care, please join either one of our Networking Groups or the Employers Forum.

Networking Groups

Several of the new projects introduced this year have arisen as a direct result of discussions with the three networking groups (Adults, Learning Disabilities & Domicillary). Meetings are held every 10–12 weeks and employees interested in influencing and standardising training are very welcome to attend.

Employers Forum

The Employers Forum is made up of a group of 30 volunteers from all sectors who are actively helping to drive the KCC/Training 4 Care Project. Meetings take place 2-3 times a year. The next forum will be held on the morning of Tuesday 4th May, 2010.

If you would be interested in joining a Networking Group or the Employers Forum please contact Annie Maurer on 01303 858305 or email T4Cshortcourses@southkent.ac.uk
