Around the World With ASAD!

On top of the frequent visits to London museums, all students at ASAD have the opportunity to participate in trips in the U.K. and abroad. Recent trips have included New York, India, Madrid, Berlin, Venice and frequent visits to London.

Paris – April 08

Highlights: Louvre, etc.

India - March 08

Highlights: Qtub Minar in Delhi; the sacred village of Pushkar in the Thar desert, Rajasthan; the Taj Mahal and sunrise over the sacred river Ganges.

New York - January 08

Highlights: The Metropolitan Museum of Art; the Museum of Modern Art; the Whitney Museum; the Guggenheim Museum; the Frick Collection; Central Park; Ground Zero; Staten Island ferry trip past the Statue of Liberty; the Rockefeller Center; the Chrysler building; Philadelphia (including the Barnes Collection and Philadelphia Museum of Art).

Venice - May 07

Highlights: The Peggy Guggenheim Collection; the Basilica; the Accademia; Doge’s Palace and the Museo Correr.

Madrid - April 07

Highlights: The Museo del Prado; the Thyssen Collection; the Tintoretto exhibition; Picasso’s 'Guernica' and the Chuck Close exhibition at the Reina Sofia National Museum.

Berlin – March 07

Highlights: Checkpoint Charlie; fragments of the Berlin Wall; the Holocaust Memorial; Museum Island; the Brandenberg Gate; the Pergamon Altar and the Gemaldergalerie.
